Minister Of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe was asked for a response to claims of election impropriety made by Coalition of Independents (COI) Leader, Lincoln Bain.
Bain questioned the legality of election materials being in the hands of the police and not the Parliamentary Commissioner while speaking to reporters on Tuesday after delivering a cease and desist letter to Parliamentary Commissioner, Harrison Thompson.
Munroe said, “I thought that Prime Minister Ingraham answered that conclusively in the by-election for Golden Isles. Anybody talking about an election being stolen probably feels they’re gonna lose and is setting a pre-text. Prime Minister Ingraham has made it quite clear, you cannot steal an election. Questions about a vault, what’s the significance of that. By the time the ballots reach there they’ve already been counted in front of everybody’s agents including the COI. You’ve already gotten your copy of the forms that set out what has happened. So exactly what is the significance of the vault?”
