Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander held a press conference on Monday to release the crime statistics of the first quarter of 2023. Members of the media asked Fernander police response to allegations of sexual assault made against a sitting Member of Parliament.

He said, “we don’t investigate in the media. We are doing our due diligence in terms of doing our follow ups and seeing this one who we need to see to ensure that we dot the Is and cross the T. And before this week is out that individual will be in for questioning.”
