Police officials held a press conference on Monday where they updated the general public on open missing persons cases.
Devin Issacs, 16, was last seen at his home on Carmichael Road on May 15th. Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings told reporters that police had uncovered new CCTV footage showing the teen. It was also revealed that several people have been questioned about Issacs whereabouts.
Skippings also admonished parents, “where we find that parents are not parenting properly and we find that there is neglect or abandonment and we find persons in the community who are not reporting instance where children are being abused or neglected, we are going to take decisive action.”
Superintendent National Gilbert was also at the press event and explained the procedure for making a missing persons report. He said, “we need you to have a recent photo on hand of that child or young person, relevant information about their age, their date of birth, their height, their complexion. We need to know their friends, their behaviour during the time of leaving. We need to know whether that child is medically challenged or is on medication. We need to know have they done this before.”
None of persons questioned about the whereabouts of Devin Issacs are currently in custody. Police investigations continue into the matter.
