Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, the Hon. Jomo Campbell provided members of the media with an update on the relocation of fives dolphins rescued from an abandoned development on Blackbeard’s Cay on Monday

Campbell said, “in governance and in the ministry we don’t have the luxury of responding and reacting out of emotion. There had to be strategic steps and you know some may have thought that those steps may have been too slow but I can guarantee you we have five Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins who are quite please that we took the time to ensure their safe…safe relocation.”

The operation to relocate the dolphins was carried out by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, the Department of Marine Resources and Atlantis. The rescued dolphins are currently in quarantine at the Atlantis Resort.
