The Member of Parliament for Elizabeth, the Hon. Jobeth Coleby-Davis held a back to school event in her constituency on Saturday. Residents enjoyed food, games, bouncing castles and received much needed school supplies.

Coleby-Davis said, “back to school has been very important to me because I know the expense of it. My mom had four girls and we all wanted everything new and we had to share because it wasn’t always easy. And so as much as I can help, my team, we put together, we get sponsors as much as we can help to give back is a part of what we do.”

Constituents Margaret Williams was at the event and explained that the gesture helps a lot. “Just like books, school bags, that helps because you don’t have to worry about going to buy that, you can focus on something else.”
