An anti-crime fair was held in the Englerston community on Saturday at the Lincoln Bvld. Park.
Member of Parliament for Englerston, the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin was in attendance. She said, “this here is a wonderful event because it is courtesy of primarily the uniformed branches, who are here present, the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, who have put everything into this community. And it’s sort of a meeting place between the community and these branches where there’s a shared interest in uplifting the community.”
Attendees at the event were gifted care packages and served with food and drinks. Commodore of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Dr. Raymond King told ZNS News, “we have one national objective prosperity, safety and security of The Bahamas. We continue to work jointly with our sister agency the Royal Bahamas Police Force. We coordinate, collaborate and cooperate with joint military and anti-gang and anti-violent crime operations, we do that in tandem.
Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis toured the progress being made under the Clear, Hold and Build Initiative in the Englerston constituency last week.
