Entrapment Claims In Cocaine Transshipment Operation

Bahamian Media News:

Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis recently stated his belief that former Bahamian law enforcement officers indicted in the United States with others in a drug related case may have been entrapped.

The officers include two police officers, former Chief Superintendent Elvis Curtis, former Sergeant Prince Symonette and Petty Officer, Darrin Roker of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.

Mr. Davis said, “that whole operation is concerning to me because on the face of it it appeared to be an entrapment of officers and that is concerning. So I’ve not heard from them so we’re just trying to. The two official, the police officer and the Defence Force officer have made their appearances in court. I understand they’re in discovery now. We’ll see what happens.”
