The Minister of Works and Utilities was on hand at the signing. The Hon. The contractor has fully mobilized with his equipment and material now at his project compound on Exuma and has commenced the construction works. It is anticipated that the Little Exuma project will be completed in two hundred and thirty calendar days.”

Also on hand was Deputy Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Exuma and Ragged, the Hon. Chester Cooper who spoke of growing up in Forbes Hill, Exuma. He also said, “the day has finally come where we can bring running water to Little Exuma and of course to the people of Barrterre for the very first time.
