Pia Farmer expressed her condolences to the companies affected by the fire and vowed to assist in reconstruction and beautification of the area. On her company’s actions during the fire she said, “of course we were very nervous yesterday because the fire was spreading so we moved all of our vehicles from that side of the lot, you know we’re on the corner of Abundant Life and the highway. So we moved our vehicles and we evacuated our staff to avoid any danger to them.”
Michael Klonaris, Chief Executive Officer of TMF Construction, the company completing the buildout of the Hyacinth Stuart Building also spoke with reporters on Tuesday about the fire. He said, “we just know around 10:30 in the morning fire started between the generator, the generator tank of Solomon’s, AML. So we evacuated the whole building and we called 919/911, the came but they couldn’t stop it. So at this point we wait for the investigators to come and let us know what actually happened.”
AML Foods also released a statement on Tuesday refuting media reporters that the cause of the fire had anything to do with their generator.
