Female Parliamentarians and members of the women’s association of the Free National Movement commented on leaked photos of a recent double homicide in the capital being circulated online. The women held a press conference at the Party’s headquarters where they addressed several issues regarding violence against women.

FNM Women’s Association President, Vanessa Scott spoke on the issue saying, “persons get off on this gory pictures and that in itself is very traumatizing. Those pictures had to come from either the mortician or the police and herein lies a problem. And that is why I really would like them to be sensitive and empathetic enough to the families of victims so that these picture, pictures of those type are not shared on social media. There is a time and place for everything.”

Sen. Hon. Michela Barnett called the circulation of the photos disgusting and lamented that we have become too objectified.
