Former Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham celebrates his 76th birthday this month. To commemorate the occasion businesswoman Denalee Penn-Mackey commissioned renowned artist Jamaal Rolle to paint Mr. Ingraham’s portrait.

Mrs. Penn-Mackey and Mr. Rolle surprised the former Prime Minister at his office, a day before his birthday, with the special gift. Mr. Ingraham said, “it feels good. Today is the day before my 76th birthday. Denalee hails from my part of The Bahamas, she comes from Crown Haven, Abaco and I’m from Cooper’s Town. It was a remarkably good life and I’m very grateful and thankful to the Almighty for sparing my life.”

Penn-Mackey expressed she wanted to give Mr. Ingraham something that would be meaningful that he can keep and think of not only her but Abaco at large.
