A ceremony was held at the Grand Lucayan Hotel on Thursday to mark the opening of the Freeport Business Expo hosted by the Grand Bahama Port Authority.
Government and Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) officials along with investors were in attendance at the event. GBPA President Ian Rolle told attendees the expo was cultivate by a dream to build a better Grand Bahama. He said, “this is our time. We stand today on the threshold of greatness. It is Grand Bahama’s turnaround season. It is the season to dream bigger dreams, to write bolder plans, to take fearless action.”
Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey spoke about the evident recovery of Grand Bahama. She said, “Grand Bahama, our time has come and yes, the prospects for Grand Bahama as a leading tourism hub and investment destination are grand.”
The business expo ends May 2nd.
