Public Service Drivers received an increase in fares in May of this year. New profit margins for petroleum retailers came into effect on October 1st. Minister of Transport and Energy, the Hon. Jobeth Coleby-Davis fielded questions from reporters on Thursday about the effect of the petroleum dealers new profit margin on public service drivers.
She said, ” a lot of their members have reached out to them but they wanted to actually see if there was a great to them, if the cost went up tremendously and then they wanted to come back to me and provide actual solutions or things to be considered that I could speak to my Cabinet colleagues about.”
The Minister said she is open to meeting with representatives of the public service drivers if they want further considerations.
