Minister for Grand Bahama and Member of Parliament for Pineridge, the Hon. Ginger Moxey has confirmed her intent to run in the Pineridge constituency in the next general election.
Moxey recently spoke with ZNS News about her achievements in the constituency since assuming office in September 2021. She said, “I definitely do plan to run again. I have been working assiduously in my constituency.”
The Pineridge Member of Parliament said she has addressed long outstanding issues like “the Heritage Subdivision with new two new parks, having the road done there at the fire station, having the speed bumps done that the community asked.”
The Grand Bahama minister also spoke about the progress of efforts to redevelop the area of Garden Villas. She said the acquisition of the land is nearing completion and demolition should begin shortly. “Perhaps in the next two months or so because, again, when you’re acquiring property and when you start to go through all the legal works involved and finding other have interest in the property as well sometimes it holds up things a bit,” she said.
Moxey acknowledges that there is more work to be done. She also expressed her pleasure with the progress made. She said, “I know there are still needs. I know there’s a lot more work that’s left to be done and that’s why I’m doing it again. I’m doing it again because the work is not finished.”
