Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Pinewood, the Hon. Myles Laroda contributed to debate on the Law Reform and Revision Bill which passed in the House of Assembly on Wednesday.

In supporting the bill Laroda spoke of the reduction in the number of Commissioners from five to three and the merit of engaging support staff. He said, “those Commissioners as a result of this repeal would now be able to hire other technical people to make their job a lot easier. So the Commissioners without a support system for them is basically useless because you have five bodies in place with no support. Those Commissioners would need a support system of drafters and other professionals to make their job more efficient.”
