Smith appealed to residents of the community for information about the incident.  “Police are now asking members of the public, who may have heard anything or seen anything to make contact with the police at 919 or our CDU Department or even our local police station, the Grove so that we can bring some resolve to this matter,” he said.

The Chief Superintendent also spoke about the crime fighting efforts of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.  He said, “we are continuing our efforts in pushing conflict resolution in these matters.  These matters can spill from a minor argument that can escalate to violence reoccurrence.  The police is always on it in its efforts of pushing conflict resolution. How do we deal with matters in a sensible way and we continue to say that when it seems that it’s out of your hands the court is there, the police is there to assist you in that matter.  We ask members of the public once you have those to reach out to your local police divisions and also you can reach out to the courts in resolving these matters.”
