The former law enforcement officers and others indicted in the United States in connection with the shipment of drugs and firearms are scheduled to appear in court on May 30th.
While attending the Bahamas Business and Investment Forum, Bahamas Consul General to New York Leroy Major revealed that he has visited former Chief Superintendent Elvis Curtis, former Chief Petty Officer Darrin Roker, and Bahamian William Simeon on several occasions.
He said, “they were just very please to see that they were not forgotten. Our role is to make that anyone in our jurisdiction, their welfare is being taken care of.”
It has been reported that lawyers for the three are seeking a plea deal instead of going to trial. Major said, “they’ve been variations of what the procedures are in the courts. So we don’t know what to expect tomorrow but I will be there, again, like I did in the past just to support them.”
