The Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training spoke in the House of Assembly informing of a pilot program launched to infuse creative arts with the core subjects offered in schools. The program is currently ongoing in two public schools.

The Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin told Parliamentarians during her budget presentation, “arts allow for greater social interactions, greater use of critical thinking skills, more experiential learning, reflective practice, active learning as opposed to passive learning. And although its being piloted now in the two schools we’re gonna watch to see how this pilot goes. We are also going to train the trainers so that more schools are added because we do believe this will be a very effective strategy.”
