ISBET students pay courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister Cooper

Bahamian Media News:

The International School of Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology (ISBET) is a magnet school (an entire school with a special focus).  Students of the STEM-supported school paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, June 15, 2023 at the Ministry.  Five of its students will graduate this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Cooper acknowledged the many advantages the students and graduates enjoy at ISBET, in the modern school program.  He pointed out that A.I., IT, Computer Science, Engineering and related fields being taught at ISBET place them at the cutting edge of global advancements, first class education, and is preparing them for career opportunities in the many fields surrounding.

Mr. Cooper encouraged graduates to believe in themselves and know that the sky is the limit.  He praised graduates for excelling in the advanced school curriculum.

He told students of the limited opportunities available to him as a junior and senior high student on Exuma Island, and how he remained focused on pursuing and achieving his pre- and post-secondary education.  He remained focused, and as such is now Deputy Prime Minister, and a serious entrepreneur of multiple businesses.

He explained how his academic achievements placed him in positions he didn’t dream possible, and encouraged students to do the same.  Deputy Prime Minister Cooper offered his full support, through his ministerial portfolios and otherwise, to the students in realizing their dreams, and concluded the courtesy call by providing token gifts to each 2023 graduate.
