Member of Parliament for Marathon, the Hon. Lisa Rahming recently announced the commencement of renovations to the Lou Adderley Park located on Claridge Road.
Rahming told ZNS News, “I’m so excited. It may have taken but for a little while but God is good so we’re going to refurbish some of the play instruments, change some of them, do some of the repairs as it relates to the sand pit and our wall. It’s going to be a total transformation.”
The Marathon MP expressed gratitude to the government agencies and private sponsors for their efforts to ensure the park is redone. She said, “this park is so important. This is a staple. The Lou Adderley Park is a staple in Marathon constituency. Most of the kids, if you drive-by in the evening, you would see that they’re sitting on the park. They’re using their phone, they’re using their tablet because we have Wifi in the park.”
Rahming said she wants to ensure that the park is suited for families to come together and for communities to share a safe space.
