Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander led a press conference held at the Paul Farquharson Building on Monday where he provided updates on various cases under investigation by the Royal Bahamas Police Force. The cases included an ongoing probe into the conduct of Chief Superintendent Michael Johnson.
Fernander told reporters, “the investigators are making excellent in the investigation. They’re also in communication with our UK partners who have asked for some documents and they are doing just that. They are in communication with them. So that matter is well in hand and hopefully we will be able to continue to update you,”
Chief Superintendent Johnson was placed on garden leave after voice notes allegedly of him speaking with purported gang leader Michael Fox Jr., now deceased, were leaked on social media. The conversation surrounded Johnson assisting Fox Jr. with a case against him in exchange for money.
