Hours after two men were killed and several others wounded in a mass shooting near Robinson Road another man was killed on Nassau Street near Super Wash on Saturday night.
The suspect opened fire on the victim while he was in the parking lot of Super Wash. The suspect then fled the scene and crashed the getaway vehicle about a block away. Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Sheria King provided details of the incident. She said, “a male and female was exiting a local wash house as they walked to their vehicle a sole male suspect opened fire on the victim fatally wounding him. The victim appears to be in his early thirties.”
A bystander at the laundry mat also gave an account of the incident. He said, “all I heard was about six or seven shots. This incident happened right behind my vehicle and I could hear the spin cases just like dropping off and bouncing off my car.” When asked, the bystander acknowledge that his was afraid during the incident. “I told her to get down and I got her down and then as we look, we could see the Nissan Cube speed off.”
Chief Superintendent King appealed to the public for information. “We are asking anyone with any information who was in the area that can provide any information into this matter so that we can investigate this matter thoroughly to please contact us to give us that information.”
