Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe was asked for comment on the investigation into the disappearance of American visitor, Taylor Casey.
Munroe told reporters, “I know that they have made an extensive survey of the entire area using the drone technology that we have. I know they’ve used technology with regard to cell phone oof the individual. I know that they’ve interviewed people which is standard. I know that they’ve met with representatives of the US government. I know that they’re receiving assistance from the FBI who I trust people believe will tell them all that they think they should be doing and the search continues.”
The Minister also addressed criticism about the handling of the case by the Royal Bahamas Police Force. He said, “unless people believe that the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Federal Bureau of Investigation suddenly is going to decide not to do all that this necessary then it should be self evident that having done and deployed resources, having gotten advice, following that advice, that all proper steps are being made to seek to determine the whereabouts of this individual.”
Taylor Casey traveled to The Bahamas for a yoga retreat on Paradise Island. She was last see on June 19th.
