The Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB} held a Town Hall Meeting at Cleveland Eneas Primary School on Friday, October 3, 2025 to discuss a new drainage system for the area of Pinewood Gardens. The meeting was held to allow consultation between the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs and the residents of Pinewood Gardens who were in attendance. With assistance of the Topographic Survey Map on the screen, Ministry of Works engineers explained the drainage issues of Pinewood Gardens. Senior Engineer at the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs, Francis Clarke, said the new proposed drainage system was developed with environmental issues and water run-off, among other important issues, taken into consideration. Pinewood residents were concerned as to when the new system plan would be implemented, and the duration to completion.
