Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Hon. Philip Davis toured the newly-opened Consulate General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Toronto, Canada, on April 15, 2023. Among those present for the tour, that was led by Consul Shelley V. Sweeting, included Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service the Hon. Fred Mitchell; Parliamentary Secretary of Tourism, Investments and Aviation (MOTIA) John Pinder; Bahamas High Commissioner to Canada (Ottawa) His Excellency V. Alfred Gray; Consul General Al Dillette; Bahamas non-resident Ambassador to Brazil His Excellency Dexter Johnson; and other government officials and stakeholders. The Consulate General, Toronto, is located in the Yonge Eglinton Center, on 2300 Yonge Street.
Its coverage will extend to the Canadian Providence of Ontario, Québec City, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Halifax, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
