In commemoration of The Bahamas’ 52nd Independence Celebrations, the Museum of The Bahamas launched an open-air exhibition entitled ‘A Glimpse into the Past’, on the Great Lawn at Collins House, on July 21, 2025. Among those in attendance were Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister Creswell Sturrup; Managing Director of the Antiquities, Monuments and Museums Corporation (AMMC) Don Cornish; and AMMC Technical Advisor Kim Outten-Stubbs. The exhibition comprises billboards showing pivotal moments in The Bahamas’ political and social journey, such as the early history of the Progressive Liberal Party and the United Bahamian Party (UBP), and the Women’s Suffrage movement.
