Press Release
Safety remains the foundation of Bahamasair’s operations, Managing Director Tracy Cooper told tourism and aviation leaders, saying the national flag carrier’s longstanding commitment to operational excellence continues to guide every decision as the airline expands its regional and international reach.
While attending the week-long 30th Annual NABHOOD Summit, the 13th Annual International Multicultural & Heritage Tourism & Travel Summit, and the Fifth Annual Bahamas Diaspora Summit at the Hyatt Regency Miami from July 22–26, 2026, Mr. Cooper said Bahamasair continues to fulfill its mission of bringing The Bahamas to the world and the world to The Bahamas, while positioning itself to play an even greater role in regional aviation.
A key part of that strategy is expanding the airline’s reach through interlining partnerships that will allow travelers to move more easily throughout the Caribbean without relying on traditional U.S. gateways such as Miami. Cooper said stronger regional connections will not only make Caribbean travel more convenient but also reinforce The Bahamas’ position as an important transportation hub.
While the airline continues to grow, Cooper stressed that every decision begins with safety, a standard that has long defined Bahamasair’s operations and earned the confidence of residents and visitors alike.
Supporting that vision is Wilfred Mullings, Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, who continues to strengthen the profile of the national flag carrier through strategic marketing initiatives and partnerships with the tourism industry. Mullings said promoting Bahamasair is about more than selling airline tickets—it’s about showcasing The Bahamas and ensuring the national airline remains a key partner in the country’s tourism success.
Bahamasair demonstrated that commitment throughout both conferences, sponsoring sessions at the Bahamas Diaspora Conference and the 13th Annual International Multicultural & Heritage Tourism & Travel Summit & Trade Show. The airline maintained a strong presence with a delegation that included Cooper and Mullings along with Deputy Chairman of Bahamasair Dr. Tyniel Cargill and other members of the Bahamasair team.
Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with the airline by scanning a QR code

From its unwavering commitment to safety to its growing network of regional
partnerships, Bahamasair continues to strengthen its role as the nation’s flag
carrier—connecting islands, connecting people and helping bring the Caribbean closer
together while keeping The Bahamas connected to the world.
