The Small Business Development Center has awarded fifty one (51) grants to entrepreneurs in the creative industry.

A press conference was held where recipients of the grant spoke about what it means to them.  Ianthia Ferguson said, “sometimes creative entrepreneurs feel a little overlooked.  We feel like no ones checking for us.  You know we hear orange economy a lot but you know before now I’ve not really seen them dug into the creatives, the bloggers, the writers, the video producers.  So I’m really ecstatic that they have taken the time out to recognize us in such a huge way.”

The Creative Entrepreneurs Standalone Grant awards up to $5,000 and cover intellectual property protection, production, equipment and marketing.
