Winners of the Andros Venture Pitch Competition organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation (MOTIA) and the Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) were presented prize funding for their start-up business venture ideas, August 7, 2025 at the Marion Forbes Center in Kemp’s Bay, Andros.

Proud winners were: Stanley Sands, who earned first place of the Venture Pitch Competition and was presented a cheque for $10,000; Prince Smith followed with second place and $8,000; and Ashley Williams, third place, with $6,000.

In attendance were Deputy  Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Investments and Aviation the Hon. Chester Cooper; State Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and MP for South Andros the Hon.Leon Lundy; TDC Director of Operations and Product Development Dwight Gibson; MOTIA Director Steven Johnson; and other government officials.

Deputy Prime Minister Cooper and State Minister Lundy brought remarks.
