We have sought urgent clarification from the US government about a social media post from a US Congresswoman that Iranians and Russians were interdicted by the US Coastguard from The Bahamas trying to enter the US unlawfully.

No security agency of The Bahamas is aware of any such incident.

We await a reply from the US authorities.
