Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander held a press conference at police headquarters on Monday where he addressed the country’s latest spate of murders.

Speaking of an incident that resulted in a 16 year old girl being killed in her residence in Nassau Village Fernander revealed that the girl’s mother was harbouring a suspect in another murder named Gamaliel Gray.  Fernander said, “during the time of the murder in Nassau Village this individual was in that residence.  Officers had chased him just maybe a day or so cause we were looking for him, he was running from the police.  It appears as though she was harbouring him.”

The Commissioner added, “it appears as though she was aware that we were looking for this individual and he was hiding out.  The criminals did their homework.  Someone may have communicated or saw him in Nassau Village at that residence.  She put the entire family at risk.”

Fernander said that those who continue to harbour criminals are just as bad and that the police will address the issue.
