Governor General, Her Excellency the Most Hon. Dame Cynthia Pratt was in attendance at the Chinese New Year Reception at Compass Rose Ballroom of Margaritaville Beach Resort, February 12, 2026. A Toast to the new year was led by Chinese Ambassador Her Excellency Yan Jiarong. Prime Minister Philip Davis gave special remarks. The Chinese Lunar New Year 2026 officially begins February 17.
