The 2023 convention of Toastmasters International was held in the country at the Bahamar Resort from August 16th-19th. Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis delivered the keynote address at the opening ceremony for the meeting.

Deputy Director General of Tourism, Dr. Kenneth Romer addressed the closing ceremony of the convention.  He told the group, we realize that you had a choice in selecting a host destination and we greatly value, we greatly appreciate you for choosing us over another destination.”

Bahamas Toastmaster Vince Martin spoke of his experience. “This has been absolutely the best convention ever.  I think what it does for us in The Bahamas is it shows that the world is willing to come to us.  Its 242 to the world.  This is a global organization, the first time in 99 years that this organization is in The Bahamas.”

The convention attracted more than 800 delegates from 90 countries.
