Trade Talks Between Bahamas And Ghana

Bahamian Media News:

A summit is planned for this week at the University of The Bahamas between officials of The Bahamas and Ghana in an effort to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Bahamas Ambassador Designate to Ghana His Excellency Andrew Wilson said of the meetings, “over the coming days we hope to have fruitful discussions and explore opportunities for us doing business one with the other. Marcus Garvey many years ago said that the key to our liberation is when African people unite and start doing business one with the other.”

Ghana officials arrived in the capital on Sunday at the Lynden Pindling International Airport. Among them was the Deputy Foreign Minister, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong who said, “there’s a lot we share in common culturally and historically. And we think we’ve come of age that we should be engaging at a serious level to see how best we can liberate that relationship in the economic sector.”

Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis is expected to attend the summit which begins on Wednesday.
