Two men lost their lives in a traffic accident on the island of Abaco over the weekend. The crash occurred shortly after 11pm on Sunday along the S. C. Bootle Highway.

The victims were identified by Pastor Silbert Mills as Steven Gardiner and Stanley McIntosh. Mills told ZNS News, “I know Steve for many, many, many years and its very, very tragic. My deepest sympathy to family. The other gentleman, an outstanding captain. He has taken ships, mega yachts all throughout the United States and around the Caribbean.”

Pastor Mills called is accident shocking. He said, “even though you may not be related to them, you know them. And they were not the subject of gun violence or the subject of a terminal illness, they were healthy men who walked from one scene and said I’ll see you later and later never comes.”

The Friendship Tabernacle Church Pastor also cautioned motorists to be careful while driving. “Slow down, if you have to answer your phone have your air buds in and don’t drink and drive.”
