President of the Trade Union Congress, Obie Ferguson addressed the liveable wage in the country at a recent press conference.

He said, “if you look at what the cost of living is today you can’t tell me that two hundred and something dollars is what we consider to be reasonable. In the United States that minimum wage is seven dollars and something cents. So we model everything we do here in The Bahamas based on America. So we committed to the Bahamians.”

Ferguson is calling for a liveable wage of $350.00.
