Bahamian Media News:

We are thrilled to announce an inspiring collaboration between the United States and The Bahamas for our 2025 Christmas Toy Drive. This initiative symbolizes our shared commitment to bringing joy and relief to families across the archipelago during the holiday season.

Pastor Paula White, Senior Advisor to President-elect Trump, leads this year’s effort along with her organization, Pastor Paula White Ministries and the Love and Life Foundation. Partnering with the Grand Bahama Port Authority, the U.S. Embassy, and King Ocean Services, the initiative aims to distribute over 50,000 toys and essential home goods to communities in New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, Eleuthera, and the Exuma Islands.

“We are honored to be a conduit of blessing and bring Christmas love and cheer to thousands of children and families throughout The Bahamas,” said Paige Wideman of Love and Life. “Every stakeholder has come together, pooling resources and networks to expand the annual Christmas toy drive from Grand Bahama to reach families across multiple islands within the Commonwealth.”

Ian Rolle, President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority, praised the partnership, stating, “This collaboration demonstrates

the power of unity. The combined support of the U.S. and Bahamian communities empowers us to extend this initiative, positively impact countless families.”

Dr. Dave Burrows, Senior Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International, highlighted the broader implications of the initiative: “We thank Pastor Paula White and her team for their vision and compassion in spearheading this project. We appreciate the vital contributions of Chargé d’Affairs Kim Furnish and the U.S. Embassy in fostering partnerships that benefit those in need throughout The Bahamas, especially our children.”

Chargé Furnish emphasized, “This initiative reflects the shared values of generosity and goodwill between the United States and The Bahamas. It underscores our commitment to building bridges between our communities and governments. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and exploring new opportunities to support families across the archipelago.”

The 2025 Christmas Toy Drive does more than offer seasonal joy; it embodies a meaningful partnership that transcends borders, demonstrating the strength of our shared purpose and mutual support.  This initiative uplifts families during the holiday season and serves as a foundation for future partnerships between the United States and The Bahamas.
