The Bahamas National Statistical Institute has released its labour force survey for the first quarter of 2026. The findings show another third consecutive decline in the unemployment rate which now stands at 8.1%

The rate stood at 8.8% in the third quarter of 2025 and 8.7% in the fourth quarter.
