Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting, the Hon. Myles Laroda told ZNS News on Tuesday that his ministry is still receiving requests for school uniform assistance.

Laroda said, “a lot of those requests came in late and I’m not putting blame on the public but I just want the public to know that we have extended the deadline to the end of September because we know there are still some kids in transition in getting to schools, moving from island to island or constituency to constituency.”

The Minister did not confirm the number of requests received but did indicate that they are not from any particular community or section of the island.
