Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting, the Hon. Myles Laroda recently addressed the need to protect children.

Laroda told reporters, “this is not something that we take lightly. I have read the reports and sometimes your wonder if Bahamians would actually do some of the things that are there. And so, you know, human beings take these reports. Human beings do these interviews. The police have to investigate. The Attorney General’s office have to deal with these matters. Our primary duty is to protect not only the rights of these children but also protect their privacy.”
