WEMCO Security & Collections Ltd has announced the appointment of its first Board of Directors, a significant milestone that supports the company’s long-term strategic direction following more than 25 years of operations.
The newly appointed Board is chaired by Mr. Dwayne J. Mortimer and includes Dr. Waldon Russell, Deputy Chairman, Mr. Henry A. Wemyss, President, Ms. Keisha M. Wemyss, CEO, Finance, Mrs. Acribba Lightbourne, CEO, Human Resources & Marketing, Bishop Arlington G. Rahming, Executive Vice President, Operations and Mr. Clinton C. Clarke, Secretary. Together, the Directors bring strategic oversight, accountability and diverse expertise to guide the company’s governance as WEMCO enters its next phase.
“The formation of this Board reflects the company’s growth over the past 25 years and signals to our clients and partners our commitment to a focused, long-term direction for our future,” Mr. Mortimer said.
He noted that the Board is committed to sound decision-making and responsible growth and expressed full confidence in the executive leadership team’s ability to execute the company’s operations and overall strategy as WEMCO continues to expand.
Mrs. Acribba Lightbourne, CEO, Human Resources & Marketing, said the appointment of the Board aligns with the company’s values and its way forward.

The formal establishment of the Board positions WEMCO Security to support sustainable growth while meeting the expectations of its clients, employees and stakeholders across The Bahamas.
Founded by President Henry Wemyss in April 2000 to meet the security needs of corporate clientele, WEMCO began operations with a team of 90 officers. Over the years, the company has grown steadily and now maintains a full-time staff complement of more than 150 employees.
