A man lost his life in a traffic accident on West Bay Street near Arawak Cay over the weekend. The deceased was riding a motorcycle when he collided into another motorcycle.
Officer in Charge of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Traffic Division, Superintendent Eugene Strachan was on the scene where he briefed reporters about the incident. He said, “I can report that there was a cluster of motor bikers traveling east along West Bay Street when for some apparent reason one of those individuals in that cluster collided into another moped that was traveling west along the corridor. Subsequent to the collision one male believed to be in his early thirties was fatally injured. The other individual was taken to PMH (Princess Margaret Hospital) via ambulance. He was listed in critical condition at the time.”
According to Strachan the two motorcyclists involved in the accident were not wearing helmets. “We could also say that those individuals who found themselves in breach of the law, the will face the consequences.”
