New Broadcast Minister Promising Engagement

Bahamian Media News:

Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. McKell Bonaby toured the headquarters of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) on Friday before attending a farewell ceremony held in honour of former BCB General Manager, Clint Watson.

During his remarks at the ceremony Bonaby promised a collaborative approach. He said, “over the coming weeks and months I intend to listen, I intend to listen, I intend to listen carefully. I want to hear from the management and staff. I want to understand your successes, your concerns, your ideas for the future. The people closest to the work often have the best understanding of what it needs to improve. I believe that progress is achieved through partnership. Government provides policy direction and support but the success of this corporation depends on the commitment, creativity and expertise of the people in this room and those working across New Providence and the family of islands.”
