Speaker of the New York State Assembly, the Hon. Carl Edward Heastie, and delegation, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Senate, the Hon. LaShell Adderley, July 8, 2026 in the Senate chambers, Downtown, Nassau. Speaker Heastie is the 100th Speaker of the New York State Assembly and the first African American to lead the chamber’s 150 members from across New York State.
