BTC Continues Investment in Its People, Recognizing 38 Top Performers for Q2

Press Release

BTC continues to strengthen its investment in its people, recently recognizing 38 employees from across the business, from Nassau and the Family Islands, as its Q2 Top Performers.

The quarterly recognition programme celebrates employees who consistently demonstrate exceptional performance, initiative, teamwork and a strong commitment to BTC’s customers, colleagues and business objectives.

The Q2 recognition builds on BTC’s Q1 Top Performer celebration, where 41 employees were recognized for their outstanding contributions. Together, the two ceremonies reflect BTC’s continued focus on recognizing and rewarding employees whose performance contributes to the company’s success.

For BTC, investing in its people goes beyond providing employees with the tools and resources needed to perform their roles. It means creating an environment where employees are supported in their professional growth, encouraged to develop new capabilities, challenged to reach their potential and recognized for the value they bring to the organization.

“Investing in our people means creating opportunities for them to grow, be challenged, be supported and know that their contribution matters,” said Patrice Thompson, BTC’s Director of People. “Our Top Performer programme is one of the ways we demonstrate that commitment. We want our employees to know that great work does not go unnoticed and that we are intentional about recognizing the people who continue to raise the standard.”

The 38 Q2 honorees represent a cross-section of BTC’s workforce, spanning different functions, roles and locations. Their recognition reinforces the company’s belief that excellence can happen anywhere across the organization and that every employee has an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

“Whether an employee is serving a customer directly, supporting our operations, solving a complex problem, advancing our technology or contributing behind the scenes, their work matters,” Thompson said. “The employees being recognized this quarter have demonstrated what is possible when people bring commitment, accountability, initiative and purpose to their work.”

BTC’s Top Performer programme forms part of the company’s broader focus on employee engagement, development and performance. The initiative will continue as an ongoing component of BTC’s people strategy, providing regular opportunities to recognize employees who demonstrate exceptional performance and contribute meaningfully to the organization.

“Our investment in our people is not a short-term initiative; it is an ongoing commitment,” Thompson added. “As BTC continues to evolve, we want our people to have the support, opportunities and recognition they need to grow with the business and play an even greater role in our future.”

Tamara Ferguson, a Q2 Top Performer said, “To be recognized by my manager is an honor and a privilege, and I feel quite blessed. I am a stickler for perfection, and when I do anything I do it wholeheartedly. As for my advice to others, I would tell them to be true to yourselves, always work hard, and have a good work ethic.”

As the quarterly recognition programme continues through Q3 and Q4, the year-long celebration of excellence will culminate in the naming of BTC’s 2026 Employee of the Year.
