FAMILY ISLANDS (AIRPORTS) RENAISSANCE (AS OF MAY, 2026):
Since The Bahamas Government launched its aggressive Family Islands Renaissance Project, with 3 airports, the initiative has taken flight, now expanding to more than 19 aerodromes across the archipelago.
This represents the largest investment in Family Islands Airport Infrastructure ever made by any government in Bahamian history. THANKS TO OUR PROJECT PARTNERS!
THE RENAISSANCE has successfully touched TWENTY-ONE (21) ISLANDS, including: Abaco, Acklins, Andros, Bimini, Black Point, Cat Island, Crooked Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Farmer’s Cay, Grand Bahama, Great Harbour Cay, Inagua, Long Island, Mayaguana, Moore’s Island, New Providence, Ragged Island, Rum Cay, San Salvador and Staniel Cay

RAGGED ISLAND – Duncan Town with a New Terminal – COMPLETED December 2021
GREAT HARBOUR CAY – Terminal and Airside COMPLETED December 2022
GRAND BAHAMA – Grand Bahama Domestic Terminal Renovation COMPLETED January 2023
NEW PROVIDENCE – New Providence, LPIA: Phase 1 Airside remediation – COMPLETED, March 2025
ABACO – Treasure Cay: Airside COMPLETED, December 2025
