The Bahamas has also been nominated for Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination 2026, highlighting the destination’s continued strength and appeal within the global cruise industry.
The World Cruise Awards recognize, reward, and celebrate excellence across the global cruise sector. Now in its sixth year, the annual awards programme honors leading cruise destinations, terminals, cruise lines, travel agencies, ships, and other organizations helping to advance the industry.
Nassau Cruise Port’s nomination for Caribbean’s Best Cruise Terminal reflects its continued commitment to delivering a world-class guest experience while strengthening Nassau’s position as one of the Caribbean’s premier cruise destinations. The Bahamas’ simultaneous nomination for Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination further underscores the strength of the country’s overall cruise tourism offering.

As the gateway to The Bahamas and the world’s largest transit cruise port, Nassau Cruise Port continues to enhance the destination through investments in culture, hospitality, entertainment, and guest amenities.
Recent developments include a yacht marina capable of accommodating vessels 100 feet and larger, along with new food and beverage offerings such as Blue Marlin Seafood Restaurant and Bahama Bay Pool & Day Club.
The port has also continued to achieve significant passenger milestones, including a record-breaking single-day passenger count of more than 33,000 guests, underscoring Nassau’s growing appeal and importance within the global cruise industry. Nassau Cruise Port welcomed 6.1 million passengers in 2025 and is on track to welcome approximately 6.7 million passengers in 2026, reflecting continued growth and strong demand for The Bahamas as a premier cruise destination.
Voting for the World Cruise Awards 2026 opened on July 13 and runs through August 21, 2026, with the
nominees receiving the most votes in each category to be named the 2026 winners. The awards will be
presented at the World Cruise Awards Gala Ceremony in Jamaica on October 14, 2026. Nassau Cruise Port encourages its partners, stakeholders, visitors, and supporters throughout The Bahamas and
